Google Workspace
The Google Workspace integrations let agents send and read Gmail, manage Google Calendar events, look up Google Contacts, search Google Drive, and read and write Google Sheets.
Each Google product is a separate integration with its own connection. You only grant the permissions that product needs.
Connect a Google product
- Open your project and go to Tools → Add tool → From template.
- Pick the Google product (for example Google Calendar) and click Connect with Google.
- Sign in with the Google account the agent should use, review the permissions and click Allow.
- Back in the VoisX console, select the actions you want to enable and click Install integration.
The agent acts as the Google account that connected. Use a shared or service mailbox (for example bookings@yourcompany.com) rather than a personal account.
If your Google Workspace administrator restricts third-party apps, Google blocks the sign-in. Ask your administrator to allow the VoisX app in the Google Admin console, then connect again.
Gmail
Permissions: gmail.readonly, gmail.send
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Send Message | Sends an email from the connected mailbox |
| List Messages | Lists messages in the mailbox |
| Get Message | Reads one message |
| List Threads | Lists conversation threads |
Google Calendar
Permissions: calendar, calendar.events
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Create Event | Creates an event, for example a booked appointment |
| List Events | Lists events in a time range, so the agent can check availability |
| Delete Event | Deletes an event, for example a cancelled appointment |
Google Contacts
Permissions: contacts.readonly (read only)
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search Contacts | Finds contacts by name, email or phone |
| Get Contact Details | Reads one contact |
| List Contacts | Lists contacts |
Google Drive
Permissions: drive.readonly (read only)
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search Files | Finds files by name or content |
| Get File Content | Reads the content of a file |
| List Folder | Lists the files in a folder |
To answer questions from a fixed set of documents, a knowledge base is usually a better fit than Drive tools. Use Drive when the agent must find or read the latest version of a specific file.
Google Sheets
Permissions: spreadsheets
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| List Sheets (Tabs) | Lists the tabs in a spreadsheet |
| Get Values | Reads a range of cells |
| Update Cell | Writes a value to a cell |
| Append Row | Adds a row to the end of a table, for example to log a lead |
| Clear Range | Clears a range of cells |
The agent needs the spreadsheet ID. It is the long value in the sheet's URL: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/<spreadsheet-id>/edit. Put it in your agent's prompt.
Example: book and confirm an appointment
When a caller wants to book an appointment:
1. Ask for their preferred day and time.
2. Use List Events to check that the slot is free on the "Appointments" calendar.
3. If it is free, use Create Event with the caller's name and phone number in the description.
4. Use Send Message to email a confirmation if the caller gave an email address.
If the slot is taken, offer the two nearest free slots.
Troubleshooting
"Access blocked" or "admin approval required"
Your Workspace administrator restricts third-party apps. Ask them to allow the VoisX app, then connect again.
The agent cannot find a file, calendar or sheet
The connected Google account does not have access to it. Share the file, calendar or sheet with that account.
The connection stopped working
The access was removed from the Google account's security settings, or the account's password changed. Reconnect the account.
