Conversation data
Every conversation your agents have produces data: a transcript, logs and metrics, and a call recording if you turn recording on. This page explains where to find that data, how long it is kept, and how to export or delete it.
All of it is stored in the data region where the conversation happened.
Transcripts
Open Calls & transcripts in your project (under Observe). The Transcripts tab lists every conversation. Open one to read the full transcript, with caller and agent turns, the duration and any interruptions.
On a call's page you can search the transcript, copy it, and follow along while the recording plays.
Call recordings
Call recording is off until your organization turns it on. When it is on, VoisX stores the audio of phone calls and browser voice calls.
Turn recording on or off
- Open Organization → General.
- Under Data & privacy, switch Record calls on or off.
The setting applies to every project in the organization. You're also asked to choose when you create an organization.
Turning recording off stops new recordings and deletes all existing recordings in the organization. This can't be undone. Transcripts are kept.
Play, download or delete a recording
Open Calls & transcripts → Recordings. Each recording shows the agent, channel, duration, size and when it expires. You can play or download it.
Recordings are deleted automatically when the project's retention period ends. To delete one earlier, click Delete recording. Only project Admins and Owners can do this. The audio is gone for good, but the transcript stays.
Retention
You control how long VoisX keeps four kinds of data:
| Data type | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Transcripts | Conversation transcripts, and the analysis built from them, such as sentiment, outcomes and extracted fields. |
| Call recordings | Call audio. |
| Agent logs | Event logs: turns, tool calls and errors. |
| Metrics & analytics history | Session metrics and usage history behind your analytics. |
When a record is older than its retention period, VoisX deletes it automatically.
Organization defaults
- Open Organization → General → Data & privacy.
- Under Default retention for projects, enter a number of days for each type, or leave a field blank to use your plan's included days.
Every project uses these values unless it sets its own. The page lists projects that override them.
Per-project retention
- Open the project's Settings → Data retention.
- For each type, keep Inherit organization default or choose Custom for this project and enter the days.
Plan limits
- Your plan includes a number of days for each type at no extra charge.
- You can go above that, up to your plan's maximum. Days beyond the included days are billed as data storage. See Usage and billing.
- The console shows the included and maximum days next to each field.
Lowering retention
Lowering a retention period doesn't delete anything straight away. Before you confirm, the console shows roughly how much data would be deleted. Data older than the new period is deleted 7 days later. Until then, you can click Cancel change to keep it.
Export
| What | Where | Formats |
|---|---|---|
| Sessions: session metrics for a date range | Reports (under Observe) | CSV, JSON |
| Logs: turns, tool calls and errors for a date range | Reports | CSV, JSON |
| Extracted data: structured fields pulled from each session, for agents with an extraction schema | Reports | CSV, JSON |
| The list of calls | Calls & transcripts → Export CSV | CSV |
| Conversation insights | Insights → Export CSV | CSV |
| Recordings | Calls & transcripts → Recordings → Download | Audio file |
In Reports, pick a date range and the datasets you want. Each dataset downloads as its own file, with timestamps in UTC.
Delete data
- A recording: delete it from Recordings (Admins and Owners).
- All recordings: turn off Record calls for the organization.
- Older data of any type: lower its retention period. Data past the new period is deleted after the 7-day grace period.
- Agent memory: see Agent memory.
